- What are the three reading tiers on UniManga?
- Every chapter on UniManga falls into one of three tiers: FREE — anyone can read, no account required; AD — read free after watching one short ad, then unlocked permanently; PREMIUM — included with an active Premium subscription or a redeemed gift code.
- Do I need an account to read?
- No. Free chapters can be read without an account. You only need a free UniManga account to unlock AD-gated chapters (so the unlock can be remembered) or to use a Premium subscription or gift code.
- How does ad-unlock work?
- When you reach an AD-gated chapter, you will see an option to watch a short ad. Once the ad finishes, the chapter is permanently unlocked for your account — you never have to watch the ad again for that chapter.
- How is Premium different from ad-unlock?
- Premium gives you ad-free reading across the entire site, instant access to all PREMIUM-gated chapters without waiting on ads, offline chapter downloads in the mobile app for the duration of your subscription, and (depending on plan) early access and a premium profile badge.
- How do I redeem a gift code?
- Sign in to UniManga, open the Premium page at /subscription, paste your code into the "Redeem code" form, and confirm. Your subscription will activate immediately and the duration of the gifted plan is added to your account.
- Do gift code subscriptions auto-renew?
- No. Gift code subscriptions expire on the date shown in your profile. If you redeem another code while a subscription is still active, the duration is added to the end of your current period.
- Can I lose access to chapters I already unlocked?
- No. AD-unlocks are permanent and tied to your account. Premium chapters remain readable while your subscription is active; once it expires, premium chapters return to their gated state until you renew or unlock them via ad if available.
- Why does UniManga use ads at all?
- Ads pay licensing, hosting, and translation costs so the free reading path can stay free. The ad path is always available alongside Premium — we never hide the free option to push you into paying.
- Where can I download chapters for offline reading?
- Offline downloads are available in the UniManga mobile app for Premium subscribers. Open any chapter, tap the download icon at the top of the reader, and find your downloaded chapters under Library → Downloads.
- Is UniManga free to use?
- Yes. The free reading path covers thousands of chapters and the entire catalog is browsable without an account. Premium is optional and gives you ad-free reading and offline downloads.
